Emarn Mall
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Emarn (“Emarn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Emarn mall application, website, and related shopping services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Emarn, we may collect the following:
- Account information: such as your name, mobile number, email address, username, and account credentials. Passwords should be stored in a protected form and are not displayed to Emarn staff.
- Order and delivery information: products ordered, quantities, order history, recipient name, phone number, delivery address, delivery instructions, returns, refunds, and customer-support records.
- Payment information: payment method, transaction status, amount, currency, and payment reference. If a third-party payment processor is used, card or banking details are submitted directly to that provider and are handled under its privacy and security terms. Emarn does not need to store your complete payment card number.
- Merchant interactions: information needed to fulfill purchases from participating stores, including order questions, cancellations, complaints, ratings, and reviews.
- Device and technical information: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers, language, time zone, crash information, and diagnostic logs.
- Usage information: pages or screens viewed, searches, products viewed, cart activity, referral source, and approximate interaction times.
- Location information: an address or approximate location used to determine delivery availability. Precise device location is collected only when that feature is offered and you grant permission.
- Communications: messages, inquiries, attachments, and other information you submit when contacting customer support or a merchant through the Services.
2. How We Use Information

- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
- Display products, manage your cart, and process orders.
- Coordinate payment, delivery, returns, refunds, and support.
- Send transactional messages about your account and orders.
- Send offers or marketing messages where permitted by law and based on your communication preferences.
- Personalize content and recommend relevant products or merchants.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, analyze usage, and improve the Services.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms.
- Comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and other legal obligations.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Emarn may use cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain shopping-cart contents, measure performance, and protect the Services. You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of Emarn from working correctly.
4. When We Share Information
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
- Merchants and sellers: to confirm, prepare, fulfill, cancel, return, or support your order.
- Delivery providers: to deliver or collect an order and communicate about delivery.
- Payment providers and financial institutions: to process payments, refunds, fraud checks, and disputes.
- Service providers: such as hosting, database, communications, analytics, security, and customer-support providers that process information on our behalf.
- Authorities or other parties: when required by law, court order, lawful process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Emarn, merchants, or the public.
- Business successors: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Emarn does not sell or rent personal information for money. If Emarn introduces advertising or data-sharing practices that are treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law, this Policy and the available privacy controls will be updated as required.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests or those of others, and act on your consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, but this will not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and meet the purposes described in this Policy. Some order, payment-reference, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute records may be retained after account deletion where required or permitted by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no website, application, database, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login information and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also:
- Update available account details from your profile.
- Unsubscribe from marketing messages using the instructions in the message or by contacting us.
- Manage browser cookies and device permissions in your settings.
- Request account and personal-data deletion by using the deletion option in the Services, if available, or by emailing the address in the “Contact Us” section.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, accounting, or dispute resolution.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your Emarn account and the personal information associated with it. Use the Delete Account option under your account settings, when available, or email the address in the “Contact Us” section with the subject “Emarn Account Deletion Request.” Include the mobile number or email address registered to the account so we can verify the request. Do not send your password or complete payment-card information.
After verification, we will delete or anonymize the account and associated personal information, except for limited information that must be retained for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Retained information will remain protected and will be deleted when the applicable retention requirement ends.
10. Children’s Privacy
Emarn is intended for users who are legally able to make purchases. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it as required.
11. International Data Transfers
Emarn and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and handle information according to this Policy and applicable law.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain links to merchant websites, payment services, delivery services, or other third-party platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Emarn is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of independent third parties.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Services, law, or our data practices. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
